Summary The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Leader with mission experience to work within and across the Ground Enterprise Subdivision. The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical advisor to the Ground Enterprise customers formulating, evaluating and overseeing acquisition strategies to achieve architectural vision and technical objectives in alignment with capabilities-driven timelines. The Senior Project Leader will apply systems engineering expertise to ensure needed capabilities are translated and applied to development efforts, promoting integration of leading-edge technology, shared services and platform efficiencies. The Senior Project Leader will possess expertise in acquisition of complex software systems and frameworks, from pre-acquisition planning through source selection, award, and change management activities. Key Functions Apply systems engineering, software development best practices, and data-centric principles to assist the customer in acquiring, and deploying software applications and services Serve as the integration leader for a team of technical contributors which may include senior subject matter experts Perform and lead technical assessments as directed by senior customer leadership and conduct gap analysis to ensure robust expedited technical solutions. Participate in acquisition and development lifecycle activities, milestones and associated agile ceremonies to help prioritize need and achieve best-value solutions from industry. Provide acquisition recommendations, and evaluate proposalsbasis of estimates to ensure government prioritiesobjectives are achieved Participate in solution, capability and program management activities, including budget planning and programming Assess software development practices and pipeline outcomes to identify opportunities, gaps and mitigation strategies, and guide software design architecture recommendations Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science, Software or Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field or equivalent relevant experience Twelve or more years of relevant technical experience Experience in the development of complex, software systems across the acquisition lifecycle Experience in systems engineering, including requirements flow-down, CONOPs and architecture development and software design analysis Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with government customers and their development and support contractors Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to travel occasionally for work assignments This position requires the ability to have and maintain a current and active TSSSBISCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
